Mirrors of genocide

“Mirrors of Genocide” is a collection of portraits taken secretly within a room at an undisclosed location in Cairo.

The photographs capture a group of young Gazans, injured during the war in Gaza, along with their caregivers. Temporarily housed there, they awaited their flight to Slovenia for medical rehabilitation.

Due to the building’s strict no-camera policy, the act of photography posed a significant challenge.

Each portrait not only documents the physical scars but also narrates a tale of personal tragedy, medical hardship, and the enduring impacts of the war in Gaza.
